Over the weekend I was able to clean the windows. I started wiping them in order to remove the mold and mildew. But I was having a difficult time getting the insides.
So I decided to remove the entire window and wash and sterilize it in the bath tub. It was a much better job for the window sill and the window pane. We are now mold free. I cleaned the mold and mildew with a Melaleuca product called Sol-u-Guard.
It would have been more difficult to use bleach for this. The breathing in of chlorine gas is not recommended for a healthy life. The chlorine found in household bleach is water down chlorine gas. Choireine gas was actually used in WWI as a weapon to burn the lungs of the enemy.
