I love this song and video. It speaks about God's protection for his children. The story that he tells is from Genesis 16:7-15 , Genesis 21: 9-20. Most of, if not all of Matisyahu's songs are in fact from the Old Testament. He speaks so fast it is hard to catch it all. I am sure he repeat the whole book of Psalms in about an hour.
Just kidding.
But listening to scripture from the lips of a "Jewish Reggae Artist" is an unique experience to say the least.
He did start out with the beard and hat. He has since changed his appearance. But the voice is the same. I think the garb was weighing him down.
