I was watching Rachel Ashwell's Shabby Chic video yesterday. There is a certain appeal of antiques with chipped paint. I am not sure about all the white walls and white furniture. But it does allow for colourful features like blankets, dishes, and smaller carpets/rugs. Antiques have lasted for so long. It was nice to see the glass knobs and older doors being used. Flowers were in a lot places.
She was at this one house with many dogs. The home owner just placed sheets on the couches in the evening so that the dogs would not dirty the furniture. Then would remove them and washed them as they got dirty. What a good idea.
