worms, privacy and you

I have doubled the soil in my yard via earth worms processing my  left over vegetables peelings etc. Now that I have all these workers- I need to keep feeding  them. I have started to feed them newspapers and mail.  What a great way to guard your sensitive mailings..feed it to the worms instead of the paper cutter. The garbage man will be surprised with only one bag of basically plastics.
Do you buy certain items based on the re-useability of the container? For when you pay for the item inside the container you also pay for the container. The can, the jar of the plastic bag affects the price of the product. That is one reason that bulk items are less-expensive...no container.

Personally, I call worm action magic. I know that is what they do. But it is good to know that I can grow a worm "farm" in my back yard.
And if you are adventurous and desire to catch your own fish you also have a ready source of bait.

meditating

The wise woman builds her house,  But the foolish tears it down with her own hands.

                                                                                                      Proverbs 14:1

I have been meditating on this verse for a few weeks. Whenever I am driving, doing the dishes, sweeping the floor I am muttering these words. I question the words... What does it mean to build? Am I wise woman? What is the difference between the wise and foolish woman? So for me to build I need bricks, lumber, wiring, lights. How do I obtain these? So I am asking Jehovah  to show me where these things are.

These are His words and so He is responsible for teaching me how to build, and how to obtain the items needed. I am responsible in asking for directions. For building up my husband, my children and others whom I am in contact with.  I am responsible for looking for new ways to protect my family from sickness.

Since my discovery of the good things in the peppermint and chives that are growing in my garden I am making an effort each day to incorporate some in each meal or in the tea. I add chives to the sauces, and salad. I add mint to the green tea we are already drinking and to the salad.

Here is another verse I have been meditating on:

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.              Psalm 1:3

Does this mean I need to move to a place of trees and a stream? Or does it mean I am already  planted where I need to be and I need to look at my circumstances differently?
What do I need to do so that I can harvest fruit?--get fit, plant, make dirt, spend time in the garden.
Am I prospering? Not really. Why not? Or  I am spending the money wrong that I do receive? How can I spend less-make more soup!! How can I learn to be more wise? Read!!
Is there fruit in my garden that I do not know about? Dandelions, mint and chives!!

waiting continued

On Monday I wrote about waiting...I have another story about waiting.
My parents worked in Northern Canada as Salvation Army officers. Much or the northern population of Canada are First Nations people. For the most part they are kind people especially where we lived. We lived in northern Manitoba among the Cree.
The story is about one evening when my parents were out doing a Bible study. They had left my brother and our dog in charge.
It was late when they arrived home. We had 3 guests when they arrived home. My brother, myself and my little sister where all asleep in our beds. The dog was keeping an eye on the guests who had seated themselves on a couch waiting for my parents to come home and help them out of their predicament. I am not sure if mom had left the door open or not.  It was an interesting experience to reflect back on. One day in  life.
We were in the arms of a God who protects us as we wait. I don't remember the experience but my parents do especially my mom. The three men were warm and comfortable as they waited. That is all that they wanted. Very patient. God does care and will reward those who wait for him.
